It's about time that an agreement signed by the Education Secretary, Armin Luistro in cooperation with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) and the Department of Education (DepEd). The agreement to lend livelihood loans to public school teachers at low interest rates has been signed last year, 2014. The Loan Agreement:
This agreement states that a loanable amount of as much as 500,000 or an equivalent of up to 8 months of their gross pay at a yearly interest rate of only 10.5 %. On the other hand, a bigger amount, which cannot exceed a money value of Php 1 million, is being made available for qualified borrower DepEd officials at the same interest rate as that offered for rank-and-file employees.

Maximum Loanable Amount:
